I'm so sorry that I haven't writen before, but I've been really busy all these days preparing the launching of the album of my music band.

And, well, these days have been musical too :). We have been working with songs and have decided that our project for this trimester is going to be a musical short film of fantasy. We have chosen the songs that will appear in the film, but there's a lot of work to do from now!

We have been learning too the song of "Let it go", which is going to be the ending song of our project. Sincerely, you are really good at learning songs in English (specially if you like them). It's a fact that your pronunciation and comprehension have improved!

First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! Santa Claus has been kind with me and has given to me many presents (books, films, music...). What presents have you received?!

Tonight is a very special night. The Three Kings are coming with their camels carrying lot of presents for us and tomorrow we will be able to taste delicious King Cake. This year I am going to try to cook my own King Cake. I leave you the recipe that I am going to follow. I'll tell you soon the result! This week we're going to review Present Continuous and There is/There are. We'll see as well how to form the past tense with regular verbs. I leave you here some notes of There is/There are:

There Are with ANY

When we want to indicate that a zero quantity of something exists we use there aren't any.

• There aren't any people at the park.
• There aren't any lampposts in my street.

We also use this structure with uncountable nouns:

• There isn't any water in the glass.
• There isn't any salt in my salad.

Questions

To form a question we place is / are in front of there.

Again we use any with plural questions or those which use uncountable nouns.

We also use there is / are in short answers.

• Is there a cat in the house? - No, there isn't.
• Are there any cats in the house? - Yes, there are.

How Many with Are There

If we want to find out the number of objects that exist we use How many in the following form:

How many + plural noun + are there (+ complement).
